PRIVACY POLICY

We recommend that you carefully read this privacy notice ("Privacy Policy"), as it describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your personal information.

This Privacy Notice applies to any application or service that refers to it. Whenever you provide us with personal information about yourself in any of the ways described in section 2, you are agreeing that we may collect, retain, and use it:

a) To fulfill the contractual obligations we have assumed towards you;
b) Based on our legitimate interests in processing (i.e., for internal administrative purposes, data analysis, and performance indicator definition (for more information, see section 3), direct marketing, maintaining backup systems, or detecting or preventing crime);
c) Based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time as described in this Privacy Notice.

1. WHO WE ARE
This Privacy Notice applies to all products and services offered by Fundação Herdade da Comporta, headquartered at Loja 1, Espaço Comporta, EN253 KM1 7580-610 Comporta, but excludes product or service applications that have separate privacy notices not covered by this Privacy Notice.

2. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we collect information about you and any third parties whose data you provide to us when:

You register to use our services; this may include your name, date of birth, tax identification number, postal address, email address, and phone number. We may also ask you to provide additional information about your activity;
You fill out forms (including new contact requests), participate in surveys, post on our message boards, participate in any activity, upload information, or engage in any other interactive area;
You interact with us through social media;
You provide us with your contact details when you register to use or access any website, application, or service we provide, or when you update those details;
You contact us, for example, by phone, fax, SMS, email, or postal mail.
We also collect your information when you partially complete and/or abandon any information entered on our website and/or other online forms, and we may use this information to remind you to complete any pending information.

We may enhance the information we collect from you with information obtained from third parties who have the right to share such information, as permitted by applicable law.

(i) Providing us with information about third parties
If you provide us with personal information about others, it is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with any consent obligations under applicable data protection laws regarding such disclosure.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we use your information to:

Provide any information or service you have requested or any application or service you have ordered;
Verify the information for accuracy and confirm the information with third parties;
Provide, maintain, protect, and improve any service and information you have requested;
Manage and administer the services provided or requested by you;
Manage our relationship with you (e.g., customer support services and activities);
Monitor, measure, improve, and protect our services and provide you with an enhanced and personalized experience;
Conduct internal testing of our systems and services to evaluate and improve their security, performance, and functionality, in which case we pseudonymize the information used for these purposes and ensure that it is only presented at an aggregated level, without associating it with you or any living individual;
Provide you with any information we are required to communicate to you, in compliance with our regulatory or legal obligations;
Detect, prevent, investigate, or address criminal, illegal, or prohibited activities, or otherwise protect our legal rights (including contacting regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies for these purposes);
Contact you to see if you are interested in participating in our customer research;
Track, perform statistical analysis, and define performance indicators, understanding that in this case the information will be aggregated, so it will not be able to associate you with any living individual;
Present targeted advertising, marketing (including notification messages), or provide information that may be useful to you, based on your use of our services;
Provide content and services in conjunction with third parties with whom you have a distinct relationship (e.g., social media operators).
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we retain information about you after the contract has ended. This information will be kept and used as long as it is permitted for legal or regulatory purposes, for fraud prevention, and for legitimate business purposes.

In addition to the purposes described in this section 3, we may also use the information we collect to present you with targeted advertising, marketing (including messages), or information that may be useful to you, based on any information we have about you. Sections 5 and 6 of this Privacy Notice include more detailed information on how we will proceed.

(i) Data analysis and performance indicator definition
We may use the information generated and stored during your use of our services for our legitimate business interests to offer you the best service and/or solutions and the best experience. These purposes include:

Presenting targeted advertising, marketing, or information that may be useful to you, based on your use of our services;
Conducting research and development activities to improve our services and products;
Developing and providing new and existing features and services (including statistical analysis, performance indicator definition, and forecasting services).
Whenever we use your information based on our legitimate interests, we ensure that it is pseudonymized and presented in aggregated levels that cannot be associated with you or any living individual.

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests and, if you wish to do so, we ask that you contact us at the email address geral@fundacaohdc.pt for this purpose.

4. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We may share your information with:

Our service providers and third parties who process information on our behalf (e.g., Internet and platform service providers, accounting and payment processing service providers, and organizations we contract to support us in sending communications) and who collaborate with us to provide products, services, and information that you have requested or that we believe may be of interest to you;
Third parties we use to facilitate payment and collection operations, such as financial institutions;
Third parties with whom you have a relationship and to whom you have authorized the sharing of information (e.g., social media sites or other third-party application operators);
Regulatory authorities to comply with legal obligations;
Law enforcement authorities to detect or prevent crimes or prosecute offenders;
Any third party in the context of actual or potential legal proceedings, provided it is legally possible to do so (e.g., in response to a court order);
Any third party in compliance with our legal or regulatory obligations, including securing insurance, providing statistical or regulatory information, or detecting or preventing illegal acts;
Government departments where the disclosure of information is mandatory under applicable law.
We may publicly share or with third parties non-personally identifiable information about the use of our services, without including information that can be used to identify you.

5. MARKETING
We may occasionally use your information to inform you about specific details related to our services that we believe may be of interest to you. We may contact you for this purpose by phone, postal mail, SMS, or email. You have the right, at any time, to request not to be contacted for marketing purposes. If you wish to exercise these rights, you can do so by selecting your contact preferences at the time you provide us with your information or by sending us an email to geral@fundacaohdc.pt.

6. YOUR INFORMATION AND YOUR RIGHTS
You have the following rights:

The right to be informed about how we use and access your information;
The right to have your information corrected or deleted or to impose limitations on its processing;
The right to object to the processing of your information, for example, for direct marketing purposes;
The right to have any information you have provided to us returned in an automated, structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or to have it directly sent to another company, whenever technically feasible ("data portability");
Where the processing of your information is based on your consent, the right to withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
The right to object to any decision based on the automated processing of your personal data, including profiling;
The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for data protection issues (for example, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
If we have incorrect information about you, or if your data changes, we ask that you inform us so that we can correct our records and keep them up to date.

We will retain your personal information for as long as our relationship lasts and, thereafter, as long as it is necessary and relevant to pursue our interests or as permitted by applicable law and regulation. When your information is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted (without prior notice).

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
We may occasionally amend this Privacy Notice. However, your rights under this Privacy Notice will not be reduced.

8. SECURITY AND INFORMATION RETENTION
We maintain the security of your information by applying technical and organizational protection measures against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

9. TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA
Personal information in the European Union is protected by data protection laws, although third countries may not necessarily protect your personal information in the same way. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Union.
